NCY at your fingertips

Cyprus has hosted various civilizations throughout its history, and this very unique site features model buildings representing each civilization that has settled on the island, from the Roman, Byzantine, and Ottoman periods.

The Minia Cyprus Open Air Museum is built on land that belongs to the thousand-year-old church, Panayia Pergaminiotissa.

Miniature versions of over 25 different Cypriot artefacts are on display here, Kyrenia Castle, the Selimiye Mosque in Nicosia, and Apostolos Andreas Monastery are all exhibited in these church gardens, with further models planned for the future.

A very good stop off with an onsite café serving local delicacies and refreshments, and a must visit especially for families with young children.

To get there, take the road from Gecitkale or Kyrenia to the northern coastal road. Four kilometers after passing the Tatlisu roundabout, you will see the church grounds on your right.

The church and gardens are opened daily from 9am to 5pm.
